Unbox The Message – Play, Create and Share Responsibly

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Unbox The Message, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the website or its features.

2. Service Description

Unbox The Message is a web application that allows users to:

• Create virtual “boxes” with a question or challenge and a secret code;
• Attach public content (image, video or external link) to each box;
• Share the box link with others, who must guess the secret word to open the box;
• Use the tool for playful and creative purposes, such as interactive invitations, humorous messages, themed quizzes, and more.

Unbox The Message does not provide secure storage, encrypted communication or private messaging functionalities.

3. User-Generated Content

All content displayed inside boxes (including but not limited to images, text, videos, links and descriptions) is created and provided by users.

• You are solely responsible for all content you create, attach or share through Unbox The Message;
• We do not review or pre-approve the content of boxes;
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, legality, safety or suitability of any content created by third parties.

4. Permitted Use

You agree to use Unbox The Message only for:

• Personal, non-commercial entertainment;
• Sending birthday and event invitations in a creative way;
• Sharing light, humorous messages about current events, without violating others’ rights;
• Creating knowledge quizzes on restricted or thematic subjects (series, movies, games, communities, study groups, etc.);
• Building light, playful experiences with people and communities you trust.

5. Prohibited Use

You are strictly prohibited from using Unbox The Message to:

• Publish or share illegal, defamatory, libelous, discriminatory, threatening, abusive content or content that incites hatred or violence;
• Share explicit pornography, child exploitation, graphic violence or any content that violates human dignity;
• Distribute malware, phishing, spam, scams, malicious links or content aimed at fraudulently obtaining data;
• Disclose personal data of third parties without consent (such as phone numbers, addresses, IDs, etc.);
• Encourage illegal activities or violations of local, national or international laws;
• Use the tool as a covert communication channel for unlawful activities;
• Copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to exploit system vulnerabilities.

6. Intellectual Property

The visual identity, name, logo, layout, application code and technical components of Unbox The Message are protected by intellectual property rights and belong to the project owner(s).

• You retain ownership of rights to the content you create (texts, images, videos and other materials), provided that you respect third-party rights;
• By using the service, you grant Unbox The Message a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and process your content solely to operate the application (e.g., generating links and displaying content inside boxes).

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Unbox The Message is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be available at all times, free of errors, interruptions or failures;
• The content inside boxes will be safe, reliable or suitable for your purposes;
• External links attached to boxes will be secure or risk-free.

You use Unbox The Message at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Unbox The Message and its owners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from:

• Your use or inability to use the service;
• Your access or attempted access to external links attached to boxes;
• Content, actions or omissions of other users;
• Data loss, business interruption or any other damage resulting from the use of the site.

If you encounter any box that you consider inappropriate, offensive, illegal, misleading or dangerous, use the “Report this box” button whenever available.

• We may review reported content and, at our sole discretion, remove or block access to the box;
• We may take additional actions in case of repeated or severe violations of these Terms;
• The report feature must be used in good faith, based on reasonable concerns.

11. Privacy

The processing of personal data and usage information related to Unbox The Message is governed by the project’s dedicated Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The most recent version will supersede any previous versions and will be available on this page.

Your continued use of Unbox The Message after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory provisions of other jurisdictions.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the competent courts indicated by the service owner, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
